Centre profile: It is a reputed center for working in ocean observations. It has been carrying out research and development in the field of ocean monitoring, ocean modeling, information and advisory services like tsunami waning etc.

Job profile: The scientists will be required to carry out research and development work in the field of ocean technology. They will be required to work on various projects, administration of multi OS, design and development of various installed systems.

Educational Qualifications: For Scientists – A candidate must be have B.E/B.TECH degree in electronics/IT/CSE/EEE/Instrumentation or a fist class M.Sc/M.S with a relevant experience. For Scientific Assistants – A candidate must have a first class B.Sc degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.

No. of posts: There are 7 posts (UR-4, OBC-2 and SC-1) for scientists and 11 (UR-6, OBC-3, SC-1 and ST-1) posts for scientific assistants.

Pay scale: The scientists will be given a pay scale of Rs15600-39100 plus a grade pay of Rs7400 and the scientific assistants will be given a pay scale of Rs9300-34800 plus a grade pay of Rs4200.

Selection process: The candidates will be required to appear for an interview before a selection committee. The selection will be based on the merit.
