Field Investigators, National Sample Survey of India
National Sample Survey Organisation is also known as National Sample Survey Office under the Government of India. The organisation comes under the control of Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation of the Government of India. The organization is considered as one of the largest organisation present in India which conducts regular socio-economics surveys. The organisation was started in the year 1950 as national Sample Survey. The organisation is headed by the Director General and Chief Executive Officer. The organisation has four divisions named Survey Design and Research Division, Field Operations Division, Data Processing Division and Coordination & Publication Division.
Job Profile:
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up the following vacant positions of Field Investigators in National Sample Survey of India. bCandidates should possess the requisite educational qualification and should also meet with all the eligibility conditions set for the post.
Eligibility:
The minimum age limit set for the post of Field Investigator is 21 years. Candidates should have age less than the prescribed maximum age limit i.e. 40 years as on 1 June 2011. Candidates having age less than the prescribed minimum age limit and age more than the prescribed maximum age limit set for the post, are not eligible for the specified post in National Sample Survey of India.
Educational Qualification:
Graduation degree with Statistics/Economics/Mathematics as one of the papers at degree level from any recognized university is required for the specified post in National Sample Survey of India. Candidates should have fluency in English and local langauge. Knowledge of computer application is also desirable for the specified post.
No. of posts: Total 1300 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary per month.
Application Fee:
No application fee is to be paid by any candidates for the specified positions of Field Investigator in National Sample Survey of India.
Selection Process:
Shortlisted candidates will have to face a written test followed by computer application test and then a personal interview test. Candidates will be allowed to sit for the computer application test, only if they get passed in the written test. Only qualified candidates of computer application test will be called for the Personal interview test.
How to apply: Insteredt candidates should send their application in the prescribed format only. Application form complete in all respect alongwith the required certificates or testimonials and a self addressed dully stamped envelope, should be sent to the concerned Deputy Director General of the Regional Office on or before the 31 March 2011.
