Can I choose any other stream to study in B.Tech being a Diploma Instrumentation Engineer?


Sir/Madam,
I have done Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering. I don't want to do B.Tech in the same field. So, I can choose other field to do in B.Tech?

No, it is not possible to choose different stream in B.Tech course after completion of your three years Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering. You need to opt the same stream in B.Tech course in which you have pursued your Diploma course. To get admission in B.Tech course after completion of your Diploma course, you need to appear in Lateral Entry examinations like LEET, ECET, JELET examinations. By qualifying the entrance examination, you can get admission in second year of four years B.Tech course.
