To get Lateral Entry admission in B.Tech course, the candidate must have completed Diploma in Engineering course from a recognized board. Candidates who have completed Diploma in Engineering course from any recognized board are eligible to get Lateral Entry admission in B.Tech course by appearing in Lateral Entry examinations like LEET/ECET/JELET, etc., which is conducted by your respective state entrance examinations board. By qualifying the entrance examination, based upon your examination rank, you will be allotted a seat in a particular college and you can get admission in second year of four years B.Tech course.

Admission in B.Tech 2nd year will be bases on your diploma in engineering qualification and it has nothing to do with your class XII stream. Admission will be through entrance exam and counselling.
Therefore, don't worry and be prepared for the entrance exam. Once you have an excellent rank then you will be surely eligible for admission. |
