Sir, like Lateral Entry available in BTech for a candidate who is doing Diploma course then lateral entry is also available in Diploma course for ITI students? I am an ITI student in Mechanic General Electronics. I want to join Diploma course in 3 years full time regular mode. I want to know that I can get admission in 2nd year with lateral entry scheme?

If you have got ITI qualification in a relevant trade than surely you will be eligible for lateral entry admission in 3 years diploma engineering course through a polytechnic entrance exam.

Just make sure you apply for the related engineering stream. Admission will be through counselling, which will be based on rank.
