Is Lateral Entry scheme available in 3 years full time Diploma course for ITI Civil Draughtsmanship candidate?


Sir, like Lateral Entry available in B.Tech for a candidate who is doing Diploma course then Lateral entry is also available in Diploma course for ITI students? I am an ITI student in Civil Draughtsmanship. I want to join Diploma course in 3 years full time regular mode. I want to know that I can get admission in 2nd year with lateral entry scheme?

Yes, the lateral entry scheme is available for the ITI Civil Draughtsmanship candidates to pursue a Diploma Civil Engineering. ITI (10+ITI) passed students can apply for lateral entry admission to study diploma course. They have to appear for a lateral entry entrance examination for the admission to study diploma course. Candidates are admitted directly to the second year of the diploma course. Duration of the diploma course is only two years for the ITI passed candidates. Many polytechnic colleges admit candidates through lateral entry mode.
