Sir/Mam, I have passed ITI MMV trade. Now I am doing automobile diploma course through lateral entry. I want to know after diploma what can I do?. Can I do B.tech or B.E in automobile through lateral entry? It will be helpful if you can answer me. Please help me.

Yes, you are eligible to do B.E in Automobile after completion of your Diploma course in Automobile from a recognized institution. Candidates who have passed Diploma in Automobile Engineering course are eligible to get direct admission in second year of four years B.E Automobile Engineering course through lateral entry admission process. To get lateral entry admission in B.E course, you have to appear in lateral entry examinations like LEET, ECET, JELET, etc., which is conducted by your respective state board of technical education.

You can do B.Tech in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering after completion of diploma in automobile engineering. Candidates who have completed a 3 years diploma in automobile engineering granted by the Board of Technical Education of a State Government are eligible to apply for the B.Tech Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering through lateral entry mode. Admission is done on the basis of marks scored in the lateral entry entrance examination like LEET, JELET etc. Selected candidates can join directly to the second year of the four years B.Tech Automobile Engineering course.

Yes, of course you can do B.Tech in Automobile engineering after completion of your diploma course. But for that you have to complete your diploma with minimum of 60% marks. After completion of your diploma you can give LEET exam which is a lateral entry exam for admission in B.Tech.
