I am interested to apply an education loan in IDBI Bank. But I would not be able to provide a guarantor. But my friends told me that guarantor is necessary for applying an education loan. So, I would like to know that I can apply an education loan in this bank without a guarantor?

For education loan, you must have a guarantor or coapplicant. There is no other way out, and you have to ask one of your parents or relative to become one.

Education loan needs some security, which is only provided by a coapplicant, because the person who is studying is not earning and doesn't have any bank balance or property.
