Hi,

Yes, your GATE marks and AIR can be used for admission into Masters (M.Tech). In fact it is used as criteria for shortlisting candidates by many institutions. A good score and rank can go a long way in helping you to seek admission in institutions like IIT etc. However this is not considered by some of the institutions who conduct their own entrance examination for selection.

Re: Can i utilize my less GATE marks for M.Tech admission?
I am sorry to say that you can not apply for M. Tech using this score. As CCMT allows to fill the form to only those candidates who got normalized marks greater than the cut off marks.
**But there is no need to worry about that you can take the entrance exam of other colleges who take admission through the entrance test too such as: --VIT Vellore --Bits Pilani --IPU Delhi **There are some other colleges too in which you can take admission through your B. Tech percentage such as Amity University, Sharda University etc. But the above mentioned colleges are among the good one. you can try in these colleges. |
