sir my gate marks in gate 2012 in cs trade is 31.33 and gate score is 310 but cut off is 31.54
sir i want to take adm in mtech this year
how can i make use of my gate score.??....... plz suggest me the good institutes also?????

YES YOU CAN GET ADMISSION IN M.TECH,FIRST OF ALL YOU SHOULD FILL THE ADMISSION FORM FOR TOP OF THE COLLEGES i.e IIT'S ,NIT'S, PANJAB ENGINEERING COLLEGE,CHANDIGARH,OTHER STATE COLLEGES.....IF YOUR GATE SCORE IS BELOW 500 THAN YOU SHOULD APPLY FOR STATE GOVENMENT COLLEGES.

Hi Swati_atri

You have not mentioned your category. If you belong to general or OBC category then its not possible to get into NIT, IIT or any good college.
The number of candidates appearing for GATE in Computer Science is too high so the percentile cut of is also very high for admission.
Since you have just 31.54, it is just above the cut off marks in CS.

You may try admission in following colleges

IIIT, Hyderabad, India
Bengal Eng. and Science University, Shibpur, Howrah, India
MANIT, Bhopal, India
PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, India
Thapar Inst of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, India
Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur, India

Dear aspirant,
After getting the GATE score for admission into MTech,you have to attend for counseling.In the counseling you have to choose your specialization and some of your desired colleges.
Other wise with the GATE score you can apply for job in various companies like BHET,NTPC,GAIL,Power grid,HPDL.

Hello Friend..

As you are asking for taking admission in Mtech after passing Gate CS..
To be very frank since your score is very low it is very difficult to take admission in reputed colleges like NIT or IIT with this score..
Following are the options you have to follow with this score:
-firstly apply for CCMT counselling and wait for the counselling and ALSO check for the previous year cut off for different reputed college..
-you can also apply for govt companies which consider Gate score for their recruitment process..
-and if are too dedicated in doing Mtech then you can wait for one year and prepare regularly and give the Gate Exam next year to get better score..

its totally depends upon you...
