hello sir,
I wanted to know the name of the colleges where i could apply for mtech admission 2010.i have got the score of 395 in EC ,GEN and my AIR is 9200.or if there is any other good option.......

my mtech score is 472/1000 and 95.02 percentile .suggest college for me.

if your percentile is more than 92% then you apply
for NIT or more than 95% then you apply for any iit..

hey if you have good marks in gate then you can apply for any college you wish to as almost every college accept the gate marks.

some good institute are IIT, NIT and some private colleges.

i think in this rank you can not apply for the nit as well as iit,
but you can apply for the university like jadavpur,sivpur.
you can also check it on the websites also.

my gate score was 508 and AIR was 1748 where can i apply for mtech? what about scholarship that they provide for mtech students can i get it if i apply for nits? i heard that only top 20 students can get it is it true?

i think you may be getting an good seat or subject in nit,
you can also apply for delhi college of engineering and also for colleges like bits ,pilani and other colleges like benarus Hindu university

hi,
your rank and and score is not good and it will be really tough for you getting admission in any good college unless and until l you belong to reservation category like obc or sc/st quota

your gate score is good and you will surely get admission in nit,
also there is limited number of scholarship in nit,and what you have heard is true but i will advice you to go for the mtech because it will make your career really good in the future

Each institute has its own cut off percentage in the GATE score.
if your percentile lies in :-

Above 96 Percentile: IITs., IISC
Between 85-96 Percentile: NITs (previously called as RECs)
Less than 85 percentile: Other institutes

so you will get into the best nit with this percentile.........

if your rank is 9200 then you may not get IITs and NITs but you may surely get any good private colleges.or else you may wait for another year and prepare well try it next year.
because with this rank you are loosing good colleges for M.Tech

hello friend,i think you will not get iits & nits.but all over in india you have chance govt engg clg like jadavpur university,shibpur university etc,so search for the such kind of university...

but as per me you will definately get admission
to NITs with 95 percentile marks.
you can get admission to Anna University.
so of the colleges in india give scholarship.

Dear friend,

As your GATE score is below 500 you cant apply for IIT's because this time the cut off mark for IIT's is 500. Even though some IIT's like IIT Gauwahathi and Chennai are allowing candidates with some what around score near 500 by conducting a written test and interview. But the application last date has already over for all the IIT's. But you can apply for NIT's. I think that for NIT's also last date is over. Because now at present second counselling is going to be held for NIT's. So you are late. But you can apply for VIT, AMITY, JADVAPUR, KOLKATTA and many more good universities. You can still have many more chances. Please don't waste time. All the best and get a good seat in a good reputed university.
