How to apply for National Merit Scholarships?

National merit scholarships are offered by Ministry of Human resource development (MHRD) for all eligible and meritorious candidate's who wish to pursue higher education.

National merit scholarships are as follows:

1. Central sector scheme of scholarship

2. Special scholarship scheme for Jammau & Kashmir

3. Scheme of scholarship to students from Non-Hindi speaking states for post metric studies in Hindi.

To apply for central sector scheme of scholarship, the candidate must have secured a minimum of 80% marks in class 12 examination and their parental income should not exceed Rs.4.5 lacs per annum.
