yes you can join army. the basic things is pass in 10th or 12th exams.if you want to join the indian army from commerce stream then you must have opted for maths in 12th..

f you have maths in your 12th then just apply for the NDA exam and select army as your choice...........

With your persent eligibility You can join army from
# Indian Army Short Service Commission (Non- Technical)
There is provision of separate test for non technical stream.

Dear friend,
if you want to join Indian army after 12th class, you will have to give NDA exam i.e. National Defence Academy.
You should be aged between 16 to 19 years.
Also you should fulfill the criteria related to physical test.

I have passed 12th exam with commerce with maths and i got 55%marks in 12th, can i join the army

as maths is the core subject for NDA examination ,You have done ur 12th with commerce, So you can't take NDA test as the eligibility criteria is 12th with maths stream.
the age limit for this exam is 16.5-19.
this exams are conducted by UPSC every years for two time.
The forms will be available from 12th march 2011 and the last date of submission is on 18th april 2011.The date of exam is on 21st or 28th august 2011.You can make it.

There is only one entry scheme after 10+2 in commerce stream, that is NDA examination, which is held twice a year.

The minimum criteria for appearing in the NDA examination are as under:

Candidate should passed/appearing in 10+2 from state/central board or universities.
Candidate age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

If you are fulfill those criteria then you can apply for the upcoming NDA examination which will held on 15 April, 2012
The notification will published on 31 December, 2011.
The notifications are published in the all National Dailies & Employment News.
The notifications are also published on the UPSC official website: http://www.upsc.gov.in/

Hello Friend, you can't join Indian Army after 10+2 with commerce field. Because, It's mandatory to have PCM subjects in 10+2 to join NDA. Now, you should first pursue your graduation and give the exam of CDS. Here, I'm providing you the full detail of CDS. I wish this will help you a lot.

CDS is the best one for those who wants to be the part of Indian Defense. CDS stands for Combined Defense Service. This exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice a year.

Academies:

1. Indian Military Academy

2. Air Force Academy



You may apply in Air force by AFCAT exam. Male and female both can apply for this. But the candidate must have the degree of Engineering from recognized University. If you have this ten definitely you can join AFCAT exam also.

Eligibility Criteria For AFCAT exam:

1. Flying Branch:-

a) Candidate must have passed 10+2 with PCM and should graduate in any stream.

b) Age Limit: 19-23 years

2. Technical Branch:-

a) Candidate must have graduation degree in engineering from recognized University.

b) Age Limit: 18-28 years

3. Ground Duty Branch:-

a) Candidate must be graduate in any stream.

b) Age Limit: 20-27 years

1. Candidate must be citizen of Indian or a subject of Bhutan or Nepal.

2. Candidate must be graduate in degree of Engineering from recognized University.

first of all defense is services and not job.....
after graduation you can apply through CDS to enter Army.....
choose a branch according to your graduation..........
you should have minimum of 60% in graduation to become application for the exam.....
