Drug inspector exam is going to be conducted by UPSC.

The minimum eligibility to appear for the exam is bachelors or masters degree in pharmacy, masters degree in chemistry with pharmaceuticals.

Hi,
After obtaning a Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a recognized University or equivalent. Pharmacy degree obtained must be from PCI approved college and candidate be registered with state or central pharmacy council.

eligiiblity for drug inspector are as following:


B pharma from any recognised University:
Qualifications of Inspectors. - A person who is appointed an Inspector under the Act shall be a person who has a degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialisation in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a University established in India by law:

Work experienceProvided that only those Inspectors: -
(i) Who have not less than 18 months' experience in the manufacture of at least one of the substances specified in Schedule C; or
(ii) Who have not less than 18 months' experience in testing of at least one of the substances in Schedule C in a Laboratory approved for this purpose by the licensing authority; or

(iii) Who have gained experience of not less than three years in the inspection of firms manufacturing any of the substances specified in Schedule C during the tenure of their services as Drugs Inspectors;
shall be authorised to inspect the manufacture of the substances mentioned in Schedule C.

In addition your age should be 18-35 to fulfill the eligibility criteria.

for DI exam is registration necessary?

the eligibility for drug inspector is b.pharm and the college should be registered in PCI &AICTE. and you should get registered in pharmacy concil and if you have experience in qa department it will be useful for your carrer and drug inspector post. and this post has a high salary and good respectful position in society

Apart from the educational qualifications For Becoming a drug inspector you should have thefollowing eperience :

you should have atleast 3yrs of experience in biologicsls and special products as mentioned in schedule C and C` to the drugs and cosmetics rules 1945

As you have experience in QA sector but with that you are not eligible to appear for drug inspector exam
