Yeah sure , you can give the CAT examination while studying in the final year of degree course and there is no doubt about that but the candidate have a possessing the degree course .

CAT Stands for Common Admission Test and this examination is conducted by Indian Institute of Management Once in a year . This year CAT Examination has been completed and Next year examination application form will be expected in the month of July or August in the official website .

Eligibility Criteria:-

<$$> CAT stands for Common Admission Test. By giving this examination you can seek admission to the Post-graduate and Fellow Programs in management courses. This examination is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management.

<$$> The weighage given to CAT differs from one institute to the other. There are other parameters which are also considered along with CAT scores like academic performance, work experience, group discussion, written assessment and interview performance.

<$$> You need to complete graduation first in any discipline of your choice if you want to sit for this examination. The degree needs to be valid one.

<$$> Along with that you need to ensure not less than 50% of marks in aggregate at graduation level. SC/ST/PWD candidates needs to get 45% of marks in aggregate.

<$$> Candidates in the final year of their degree awaiting the result of their final year exam or intending to appear for their final qualifying exam can also apply.

<$$> There is no age criteria to abide by as such. Similarly no restriction has been imposed on the number of permissible attempts.

<$$> Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning are the two sections in the written exam. From each section 30 questions will come and you will get one hour and ten minutes to complete each section. You will get 15 minutes reading time.

<$$> CAT is basically a computer based test and every year it is conducted during the month of October-November during a 21 days window. The test centres are there in most of the cities across India. Choose the one best suited for you.

Yes, You can appear for CAT exam if you are in your final year of graduation
The reason why they allow final year graduate to appear for entrance exam is by the time candidate is given a call for interview, he must have finished his/her graduation


If Singhania university is UGC recognized and if you atleast 50% marks in your BSc, then you are eligible for CAT. Eligibility is 50% aggregate and not 50% in final year.

But you have to make sure that you pass your Graduation by June 2014

Eligibilty to apply for the CAT exams is:
Graduation pass in any stream with minimum 50% marks for General and OBC candidates and minimum 45% marks for the SC/ST candidates.
