T.A. Pai Management Institute offers a two year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) to management aspirants. The eligibility condition for the program is a graduate degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks. Students who are ion their final year can also apply. Candidates with professional qualifications like CA, CS and Cost Accounting can also apply.

The screening test used by the institute is CAT conducted every year by the IIMs. T.A. Pai Management Institute uses CAT only for screening purpose and IIMs have no role in the selection process of the institute.

TAPMI also considers some other things before giving admission to the candidates. The academic and the extra curricular records of the candidates are also considered. Work experience also matters.

On the basis of CAT score candidates are shortlisted for the subsequent stage of admission process, which are Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Final selection is made on the overall performance in the selection procedure.
