Hi i am BA English graduate from kerala.. got an aggregate percentage of 85 in my graduation. Higher scorer like me can get a seat in IIM for MBA being such a higher scorer in graduation?

IIM's admission doesn't depend on graduation degree marks. It depends on CAT score. If you have secured good marks in CAT exam, then you will get a seat in IIM for MBA course.

Those candidates who have completed graduation degree from a recognized with above 50% marks are eligible for CAT entrance exam. Final year students are also eligible for CAT entrance exam.

IIM stands for Indian Institute of Management. The admission in IIM is given on basis of Common Admission Test performance. CAT is conducted by IIM every year for admission of graduates of different discipline in different discipline of Master's degree in Business Administration.

Eligibility criteria for CAT:

>>Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Final year candidates of bachelor's degree can also apply for exam.

>>Minimum of 50% marks in graduation is required to apply for this exam.

You can only get admission in IIM A by appearing for CAT and scoring good percentile. There is no direct admission in IIM on basis of percentage of marks in graduation.

Admission in IIM is totally based on the performance in CAT and GD&PI. Graduation marks is just an eligibility criteria which should be above 50% to appear in entrance exam.

Hence, just be prepared for CAT if you are interested in IIMs. Admission will be possible only if you have an excellent score in CAT.
