Admission procedure -
The course starts from August .The advertisement appears on the leading news papers in the month December every year.Candidate are required to submit their application forms in the prescribed format with the required documents .
The admission for the courses based on written exam.the exam is held on the 1st Sunday of May every year.The successful candidates are called for Interview in June .Admission is subject of medical fitness .

Syllabus for the exam -

The standard of the exam will be that of 11th and 12th class under the 12th scheme or an equivalent examination of the state education board .

Dear Friend,

AFMC stands for Arm Force Medical College.The examination is conducted for the admission in the MBBS course.

The notification for the admissin in the MBBS course will come in the month of december every year.The notification will come out in the weekly journal the employment news and all the leading dailies.
The examination held on first sunday of may every year.Successful candidate will be called for the interview in june.

There is only 130 seats are availabe in which 105 seats are for the boys and 25 seats are for the girls.

Eligibility Criteria:-

• The candidate must be a citizen of India.
• The candidate must be unmarried.Marrige during the course is not permitted.
• The candidate must be physically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defenc.
• The age of the candidate must be between 17 years to 22 years in the year of application.

Educational Qualification:-
Candidate must have passed in the first attempt of the qualifying examinations as a regular candidate with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these 3 science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the 10th standard.

AFMC along with a demand draft.

On-line Application Form will be available for download only till 5th Feb 2011.

The Last date of Receipt of completed Application Form along with Demand

Draft of Rs. 250/- at AFMC Pune is 7th February 2011 (5.00 pm).

Actually 25 seats are reserved for girls and that does not mean that they will not recruit more than 25 girls.Infact procedure is that a minimum of 25 girls should be recruited and apart from these 25 girls they may recruit more if the students are deserving candidates.

oh thanks a lot 4 this vital information maam,i was a bit nervous after hearing of only 25seats..and sorry i could not understand the agelimit procedure...i have heard that there is a fixed age limit that is perhaps upto 17 or 18 yras to appear 4 the AFMC..exam..but after that one cant appear 4 the exam...so help to understand..explain me more briefly...i shall be grateful to u maam..

ELIGIBILITY FOR AFMC

First of all, you have to be medically fit and unmarried.

Age : as your academic qualification is 10+2, so you must be 17 years of age but must not have attained the age of 22 years.
(A student who has passed B.Sc. examination or will be appearing in final B.Sc. examination and seeking admission must not have attained the age of 24 years.)

Educational Qualification: you must have passed the XII standard/pre-professional/premedical or equivalent examination of statutory Indian University/Board or any other recognized Board/University as a regular student in all the subjects opted for, in first attempt, with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology securing not less than 60% marks in aggregate in the three science subjects taken together, not less than 50% marks in each of the science subjects and not less than 50% marks in English. You must have also passed an examination in Mathematics at least of the matriculation standard.

The entrance exam takes place at the 1st Sunday of may.

to apply in AFMC , first you have to fill up application form of the exam which is will be available in nearest GPO.

Eligibility :

* candidate must have passed 12th with physics , chemistry and biology with any recognized board.

From this Year ,you will not be able to take Direct Admission in AFMC(Armed Force Medical College,Mumbai) College directly.In order to take Admission in this Medical College you will have to get pass in CBSE NEET Exam and in this exam you should have a valid Rank in order to get Admission in this college.

So,In order to appear in CBSE NEET Exam,you will require the Following Eligibility:-


Educational Qualification:-

>>You must be passed out in 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry and Biology.

Age:-

>>Your minimum age should be 17 years.
>>Your age should not be above 25 years.

Marks:-

afmc preparation needs no other different kind of preparation..You need to be thorough with your text book..

The subjects are Physics,Chmistry and Biology..

But the competition is tough....

AFMC exam Qualification;-

The candidate Age should between 17 Yrs. of age 31st December and Must not attained the age of 22 yrs.

The candidate should have a completed 12th with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology Securing not less than 60% Marks and not less 50% marks in each of the Science Subject.

The candidate must have also Passed an Examination In Mathematics at least of the Matriculation Level.

Only Unmarried male Candidate is Eligible for Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC).

The Entrance Examination will be 2 Hrs. of duration and one paper consisting of 200 Objective.

You should have completed 12th class from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subject in 12th. You should have scored minimum 60% marks in 12th and have atleast 50% marks in English. Age should be between 17-25 years and five years relaxation is provided to OBC/SC/ST category. Admission applications will be out in December and entrance test will be conducted in May and successful candidates will be called for interview in June.
