I got 59.66 percentage of marks in 12-th class is i am eligible for iit jee

you are of course eligible for iit-jee. but then to get into renowned colleges, you need to score high in he entrance. so start preparing for it. be thorough with your 12th and 11th ncert textbooks and practice maths a lot.

If you have scored minimum 60% marks in your 12th exams, only then you are eligible for IIT JEE exams. Because for general candidates 60% marks is minimum eligiblity.

If you are belong to SC/ST candidates, then you are eligible, otherwise you are not eligible to appear in IIT JEE exams.

Minimum Percentage of Marks in 12th exams, Candidates belonging to GE, OBC must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in their QE.

Whereas, those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in the Final exams.

If you have clear your 12th examination from a recognised Board, then you are eligible to appear in IIT JEE exams.

But, make sure that, you can appear in the Joint Entrance Exam two times only.

And, if you have give your Final examination, only then you are eligible for IIT JEE exams.


So, please visit the official websites and conform it from there.

The minimum eligibility criteria for general candidates is 60%.So if you come under SC/ST category then you have a hope.

though you are near 60 % but if you belong to general/ obc than you may not be able to write for IIT JEE but if you belong other cast than you may be able to fill the form .

if you are not able than dont be in panic there are other ways through which you may fulfill your dream like complete your graduation and after that go for higher studies in any good institute like iit .

Yes you can write IIT exam as minimum qualification for it is that candidate must have passed their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board.

but you need to be prepare hard for getting good rank to get good college as some colleges may keep criteria of 12 th class marks!!so try hard!!

There is a set of criterion on which students are evaluated. The applicant must have passed +2 exams from a recognized board. They must have more than 60% of marks in their qualifying exam. They must be physically fit. Candidates appearing for their final exams can also be eligible to apply.

I am very sorry to say that you may be not eligible for that if you are a general caste or OBC student,Because the critaria is 60%.
if you belongs to the SC/ST background then you can apply,the limit is 55%....

Eligibiligy for IIT JEE

For general/OBC candidates - it is minimum of 60%

For sc/st it it minimum of 55%

If you belong to either sc or st, then you are surely eligible to appear for IIT-JEE.

And if you belong to any general /obc, then you are not at all eligible.

No matter in that.

don't ever make negative notion and 59.66% is approximately taken as 60% if it
is taken in only one decimal form.
for eligbility to write IIT JEE exam is 60% for General candidates and
55% for SC/ST

No where is mention that you must be having 60% or above , but it is mention
minimum of 60% should be there in 12 level.

don't panic you are eligible for writing IIT jee EXAM.

I think i have relaxed you from this burden and go and concentrate only on preparation
not on other things.

If your a candidate from GEN/OBC category then your not eligible for this exam,but if your a candidate from SC/ST background then your eligible for this examination.Well you can try out for other competitive exams like EAMCET,MHCET and other common entrance test of respective states.

Yes you are eligible.The eligibility is 10+2 exam from a recognized board.

The candidate should have a completed 12th Examination with Physics,Chemistry and mathematics and the candidate should have scored minimum 60% Marks In 12th Examination.

• General/OBC category for 60% Marks.
• SC/ST/PH category for 55% Marks.

And Those who are completed In 2010 Or Those who Appearing In 2011 Exams may also Eligible.

Sorry you are not eligible for IIT JEE exam because the minimum percentage required in IIT -JEE exam is 60 % ...But you criteria is not matched so sorry to say you are not qualify for IIT -JEE exam..

As you have asked whether you are elgble for the IIT -JEE exam,i have mentioned the eligibility criteria which you must possess.

Eligibility:

1. The candidates must have finished +2 from a recognized board with 10th,12 pattern of school education.
2. For SC/ST/PD candidates it is 5 years from the prescribed age limits.
3. The candidates must submit their physical fitness certificate.
4. The candidates who pass the screening test are eligible for the Main exam.
5. The candidates must score 60% aggregate and for SC/ST candidates it is 55%.

because the criteria of eligibility to give iitjee exam for sc/st/ph candidate , they require 55% aggregate marks in10+2 exam.

but if you belongs to the general category then you are not able to give the jee exam. because general category students require 60% aggregate marks in10+2 exam.
