To join Indian Navy you have to write NDA(National Defence Academy) exam.

NDA exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission)

* Candidates should be the citizen of India.
* You should have age limit 16.5 to 19 years.
* Candidates should be a 12th graduate from a recognized institute with physics as subject.
* Unmarried male candidates are only allowed.
* Students who are studying 12th can also appear.

So no need to worry if you have these requirements then you are eligible. Navy is best field in India. So don't miss it.

To join Indian Naval academy you have to go through the NDA exam first .The exam is conducted by UPSC .Through this exam you can join various academies of defense .
Eligibility criteria for NDA exam -
Candidate should complete 12th with PCM from any recognized board . Age of candidate should be in between 16.5 to 19 years .Candidate should be physically and mentally fit .

yes you can join Indian Navy if not NDA... Many technical and non-technical executive jobs are available for candidates of 10th passed to post graduates.

So no need to worry.also Indian Navy which is recruiting for the recruitment of Air Traffic Controller posts. else you can do engineering and apply for Navy.

There are mainly two section in Indian navy i.e
1.)SSC Technical Branch
Entry (Branch/ Cadre)
Engineering
Electrical
Naval Architecture Cadre

2.)SSC Officer (Executive Branch)
Entry (Branch/ Cadre)

You have not mentioned your qualification.

I think you are a class 10th passed student. If it is so then you can join merchent navy as rating officer & following courses are available to you:

4 month Pre-Sea Course for General Purpose (GP) rating.

3 month Pre-Sea Course for Deck rating.

3 month Pre-Sea Course for Engine rating.

4 month Pre-Sea Course for Saloon rating.

How To Join Indian Navy

In order to join the Indian Navy..you need to appear for the NDA (National Defense Academy) Exam which is held twice every year in the months of April and August for which the forms are available in the months of January and April,respectively..

Eligibility Criteria :-

In order to appear in the NDA exam..you need to fulfill the following criterion :-

1) You should be a 12th pass out with Physics,Chemistry and Maths as your subjects in 12th

2) You should be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years

Apart from these qualifications..you should be physically fit and should have a minimum height of 155 cm

You need to first clear the written exam,then the interview and then the medical examination..

The written exam shall test you on the following things :-

General Knowledge
Basic Maths
English

So,first concentrate on the completion of your 12th..then you will be eligible for appearing in the NDA exam

First,You have to Complete Your SSC Exam.After youi have to study Intermediate two years after you will have an Entranve Exam whic NDA(National Defence Acadamy) If you will pass the exam there are some steps to select in that NDA Then you will do the Navy

Minimum Age Limit : 18 years old

Must Be Indian Citizen.

After 12th or after graduation you can join Indian Navy.See you have to take information from different newspapers and websites when the vacancies of Navy will come and according to this you can apply.

You can also apply for NDA. There generally two examination are held for NDA, one is NDA-1 and another is NDA-2.You can also attempt both this two exam.

The best way to join indian navy is through NDA exams which are conducted by UPSC twice a year. the basic elligibility criteria are

Soldiers :

Unmarried Male Indian citizens with 55% aggregate marks in Maths & Science at Matriculation or Equivalent level with age limit of 16 – 19 Years. ( or ) 10+2 or equivalent exam passed with 50% aggregate marks in PCM and at least 50% aggregate marks in Maths & Physics. There are written test & Physical Fitness Tests before entry.

10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme :

10+2 or its equivalent exam Pass candidates with at least 70% aggregate marks in the PCM and at least 50% marks in English either Class X or Class XII within the age limit of 16½ and 19 Years the selected by Indian Navy for training at its prestigious Naval College of Engineering at Lonavala ( Pune ) and Cochin University of Sciences & Technology, Kochi, to prepare officers for a career in Marine / Electrical / Electronic Engineering and Naval Architecture Cadres of the Indian Navy.

The candidates must have a minimum height of 157 cm with chest expansion of 5 cm and co – related weight with age and an uncorrected eyesight of 6/12, 6/12 ( without glass ) and 6/6, 6/6 corrected with glass. The short listed candidates are called for interview by SSB followed by a physical test and on successful completion of 4 Year training, are granted permanent commission in Navy.

To join indian navy there are two schemes , on the basis of 12th & on the basis of graduation.

In 12th scheme-
your age must be between 16.5 years - 19 years , you must have maths subject in 12th, you must be an indian.

In graduation scheme-
youe age must be between 19 years - 24 years, you must be an indian.

If you want to join Navy after 12th so you have to take an exam of national defence academy(NDA).
If you want to join Navy after graduation so you have to take an exam of combined defence service(CDS).
Both exams is conducted by union public service commission (UPSC) twice in every year.

If your aspiring to Become an Navy Officer then you have two options , You may apply for NDA ( National Defence Academy ) / CDS ( Combined Defence Academy ) . Both the Examination is conducted by UPSC for every Twice in a year .

If your interested NDA Examination in ( Navy Wing ) then you should complete 12th standard in Science stream with Physics and Mathematics from recognized university / Institution .
