VAO Exam Details:-

Educational Qualification:- A secondary school leaving certificate is required to give this examination. You need to be 10th pass out in other words.

Tamil Language:- You should know how to read and write in Tamil language.

Age Criteria:- You need to attain the age of 21 before giving this exam. For general category candidates the upper age limit is 30 years.

Age Relaxation:- For SC/ SC (Arunthathiyars), STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCM and Destitute Widows of all castes the upper age limit is 40 years.

Pay-Scale:- You will get Rs. 5,200 -20,200 /- with grade pay Rs. 2,400/- as basic remunerations in initial stages.

Exam Pattern:-

1. General Knowledge:- 100 Questions- 150 marks
2. General English/General Tamil:- 100 Questions- 150 marks
