GATE stands for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and it is an All India Entrance Exam which is conducted by the IIT's to select students for the M.Tech programs in various colleges like IIT's, NIT's, BITS, etc...


If you have forgotten your GATE Application Number, then I assume that you remember your Login ID and Password.

Once you have to visit the Official Website of GATE Kharagpur, and enter your details.

You would be taken to your application page, from where you can again take a print out of your GATE Duplicate Application.

GATE- GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING is an entrance exam for admission to M.Tech courses in IITs and NITs of India. Graduate engineers are eligble to apply for GATE.

You should be worried at all by forgetting your application number for GATE because if you would have submitted your application properly and correctly then definitely admit card will be sent to your address as mentioned in the application form.

Otherwise if remember your login ID and pass word then you can enter the application page through the official web site by putting your details information as asked and accordingly prit out the details of your application form page along with number and can check the status of your form. The official website of GATE is www.iitkgp.ac.in

if you have applied online , you are secured . wait for the admit card . don't panic.

Hello Friend,Don't worry.You have filled the form online,so u will receive the acknowledgement.Even I had appeared for GATE 2011,I too had filled online form,but i knew my application number,so I is to check it everyday.
And one more thing,even if you forgot the application number,you can see it on GATE' s Zonal websites,they display the forms having mistakes in it,but online form filling results in no mistakes.If you are aware,from this year onwards,GATE admission card will be available online,you just have to print it,and take it along with your original pan card,or any ID proof to the Exam Centre.
So, don't worry,just concentrate on your preparation of your GATE Exam.
