Hello there.I want to study Bsc Maths in DU. So , do I need to appear for a written entrance exam or is the admission merit based?

Delhi university offers

B.Sc. General mathematical sciences which require a minimum of 45% in qualifying examination

and

B.Sc (H)Maths which requires 50% in Mathematics and 45% of aggregate in the qualifying examination.

Here the qualifying examination in the sense either you have to pass the secondary school certificate examination of CBSE board or any other examination of equivalent standard.

There is no age limit.

For taking admission in Delhi University in B.sc maths, you must have maths in your 12th as your main subject..
The percentage criteria will vary year to year depending upon the result of CBSE board..

As the medium of Delhi University is english so, you must have 50% marks in your 12th english..
The admission in B.sc maths in DU will be held through merit list..
so, you just check it out the percentage criteria of this year..
