hello friend

look, if you have interest to do software oriented jobs.

then it will be better to do MCA course.as it is a professional course. so can get a job easily after doing mca.

but to do mca course, you should have math in your 12th.

otherwise you can do MSc.IT.

it has also very good career opportunity.

but you must remember if you do MSc.IT, then you must do it form good reputed institute.

all the best............

well since you are persuing B.Sc IT now..its better if you dont change your line or stream and continue with what you have done...so in my opinion...I think you must persue M.Sc IT....rather than MCA...

Good luck !!

Thumbs up Re: After BSc.IT - MCA or MSc.IT?

dear friend,

After B.Sc (IT), i suggest you to do MCA because MCA is more demanded than M.Sc(IT).

& if your aim is to do higher studies like M.Tech then it doesn't matter wheather you will
be in MCA or in M.Sc(IT).

But if you want to do job after your master degree then MCA should be prefer.

Choice is yours.

good luck.

Doing MCA or MSc.IT completely depends upon your choice. If you interested in software field you can pursue MCA. If you are interested in research and teaching profession you must pursue MSc IT and thereafter take up MTech. IIT is one of best institutes in the country for this. You will get the IIT entrance details from the following link:-
http://www.iitd.ac.in/admission/pg_eligibility_critera.html

dear,
you can choose any course after B.SC(IT). But you choose your course with

your interest. acc. to me you choose M.SC IT and then doing M.TECH from IIT .you can

get admission in IIT through entrance exam held by IITs.

Hello
MCA will be a better option as there is a very large scope from it in the Software companies. and also better placement than Msc.IT. But Msc.IT can also be a good option if you are pursuing from a Reputed institute. GOOD LUCK.

I think MCA will provide you a lott better opportunities as compare to Msc IT.
Some very good institute are available in india for MCA.
Clear any entrance for MCA and take admission in good college after 3 year of MCA you will have good opportunities in private sector in IT companies.

Msc.It is best for you.
Because in Msc.It course latest course is there.
when in MCA 1 year repeat course will come which u passed in Bsc IT.
u will complete MCA in 3 year when MSC IT in 2 year.
but both people will get same degree.

After BSc many students ask now what to do following are the courses which you can do
MBA
MCA
MSc

MBA and MCA both are the master degrees and both are good fields but
MBA and MCA both are different fields
MCA stands for Master in computer application and
MBA which is Mater in business Management...
But
I think you have to go for MSc because MCA and MBA both are different field from your course i.e. BSc..MSc is related with your field BSc..and it is good for you.
However MBA and MCA is good option but decision in your hand what you choose..

MCA and MSc IT both are masters degree but there is a big gap between
these two.....
MCA is a professional degree and in this time professional degree is in
great demand, as at this time every work is limited to computers so
the need of computer operator and software engineer is increasing and
after doing MCA you will be a software engineer and its future is very bright
so i will prefer you to do MCA instead of MSc IT......

Since you are having maths background in 12th it may not be that much difficult for you.since You are a commerce......

student you can cope up easily in an industry where there is a need of accounts as well as computer applications which is nothing but master applications.

in industry as computer operator

Both the programs offer good career platforms. You can choose either of the two as there is hardly much difference among the two as both offers Master's Degree.
MCA can be done by any graduate (Computers as a subject preferred) who had Maths as a subject in +2. This is the most common eligibility criteria in most of the colleges. But then there are many colleges which may have this differently and can ask for BCA compulsorily in graduation. There are many Computer engineer as well who opt for MCA as well because of its high acceptance in MNCs.
M.Sc stands a little different in its Eligibility criteria. To study M.Sc one should have B.sc degree in the same subject.
The other basic difference between the two is the duration. M.Sc is of 2 years whereas MCA is of 3 years.
After completing M.Sc you can take lateral entry in the third year of MCA. This will get you two Masters within a span of three years, Vice verse is not possible.
On the basis of your interest and various other parameters you can take a decision of pursuing any one of these course.
