dear sir
i hav just pass my class tenth with 90% marks and i am getting arts in aligarh muslim university and i have taken subjects with arts is maths,economics and literature so after doing ba in economics i want to do mca so please kindly let me know that whether i can do mca after doing ba.

Hi Paridhi, yes you can surely go for MCA after completing your B.A degree.

The minimum qualification required is graduation in any subject with maths as a subject. So surely you are eligible.

MCA ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA -

MCA is a 3 Year Post Graduate Degree Course in Computer Field And To get admission in this course you need to complete you Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University. But you Must have study Maths In your 12Th examination. And If you Dont have Maths in your 12Th examination, Then you will not get admission in Top MCA Colleges.

And The Admission in MCA in top Colleges Like IIT's And NIT's Are Based on Entrance Test Like AIMCET (JAM), NIMCET, JECA Etc....

You have To apply for These Given entrance examinations, Only then you will get admission in Top MCA Colleges. But If you have Study Maths in your 12Th examination, Only then you are eligible to apply for This entrance examinations, Final Year Graduate candidates who have study Maths In 12Th are also eligible to apply for These exams.

So, If you have study Maths in Your 12Th examination then Yes You are eligible to apply for This examinations And If you dont have study Maths In your 12Th examination, Then You are Not apply for NIMCET, AIMCET (JAM) OR JECA Examination.

But You Have Study Maths In your Graduation Then You will get admission in Lovely Professional University, Punjab.

see, basically you are not eligiable for MCA course after doing B.A.

actually to do mca from good recognize college or university, you have to give JECA, JAM ETC exam.

but the eligibility criteria for those exam is given below

1.12th with math.

2.graduation in science from recognize college.

3.minimum 50% marks in graduation.

as you are student of BA. so you are not eligiable.

My friend, there are some criteria for doing MCA...
THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA IS-

*you must have maths or stats in your 12th...

without that you are not eligible for MCA...
If you have the criteria then you have to appear in entrance exams like - JECA,NIMCET for doing MCA......
After clearing the exam they will call you for the interview....

but my friend if you are going for MCA after BA then you should have basic knowledge about the computer related affairs like-
1.Networking
2.Computer languages like-C,C++ etc..

If you know all these things then you can go for MCA.. otherwise it will be difficult for you to cop up with the syllabus of MCA...

You can study MCA by your 12th maths marks. so, you can join in any of the university.
It is 3 years course. It offers more IT jobs with high salary package.

Hey friend,

MCA is Master of Computer Applications which is a post graduate course.The duration of the course is 3 years.You can apply for this course but it would be tough for you to study in this course with a UG degree like BA as it is not all associated with this Post Graduate course and would fetch no value if you finish the course as the interviewers will raise up a question that why didn't you choose the post graduate degree appropriate of the UG degree.

The candidates can apply for the course if he/she has done their degree from a recognized university and the candidates must have finished their +2 with computer science and mathematics as subjects as it is very important.

You can possibly apply for the exam by writing the respected entrance exam for MCA depending on the state like TANCET.The candidates must pass the entrance exam to get a admission in any of the colleges or the candidates must write the exam conducted by the respected colleges.

It is better you choose a post graduate degree appropriate to your UG degree which gets you more value.

MCA is the Master of Computer Application.
To do MCA course,person should complete their graduation.Most important-math must be there in their 10+2.if person have not completed their 10+2 with math then he/she will not allowed to do MCA.
As you said math was there in your subjects then you are eligible to do MCA.

you can go for MCA after your B.A but for this you have study mathematics in your 12th level or +2 level with out it it is very difficult to get admission in MCA in best colleges .
for MCA you have to give entrance exam then you can do admission in top college according to your rank.....

dear friend,
for MCA admission you have to passed in following discipline BCA ,BBA,B.SC(SC,IT) ,B.SC(MATH,STAT) with 50% above marks.

OR you have to completed graduation with 300 marks in mathematics.
Also you have completed 10+2 with math.

But this criteria is vary from college by college.

Yes after completing B.A you are eligible for MCA.

Eligibility criteria;

The candidate should be complete graduation from any recognised university with atleast of 50% marks.

Final year graduate students may also eligible.

Candidate should be a citizen of india.

There is no age limit to do this.

There so many of entrance exams to enter into MCA but the NIMCET is the only national wise entrance test, also there are many of the state level entrance with the local universities.
If you are qualify in these exams then you are eligible to do MCA.
