What is the age limit in MBBS entrance exam? I want to be a part of this entrance

Dear Friend ,

Presently there is not age limit for MBBS admission . Only thing that matters is your performmance in entrance examination and your previous records(to an extent) . But I personnaly suggest that , if you really wish to build up a career as Doctor , do try to join MBBS before you are 31 .

The maximum age a candidate can have to apply for AIPMT is 25 years. However, there is a relaxation of 5 years for candidates of SC/ST.

Information about AIPMT can be obtained from aipmt.nic.in and offline forms are available at state bank of India branches in every state. The last date of forms reaching the office of the board is 07 Jan 2011, but 15 days relaxation has been given to students in remote areas like North-eastern states, Andaman & Nicobar & Lakshadweep islands, Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh etc. Candidates from Andhra Pradesh and J&K have to submit an affidavit also, its information is given in the information brochure that is supplied containing the form , or it can be downloaded from aipmt.nic.in

Dear friend the minimum age for sitting in MBBS entrance exam is 17 years. apart from this you should have passed your 12th with atleast 60% with science stream and biology compulsory. the seats are limited so you will have to face really tough competition. so, study accordingly.good luck.

after 12 you may appear in medical entrance examination. the age limit for general candidate in medical entrance examination generally till 24 or 25 years. for SC/ST candidate there is relaxation of five years.

Friends the age limit for MBBS entrance exam are different for different competive exam for example
in AIIMS the minimum age is 17 years but no maximum age limit.
in AFMC the minimum age is 17 years but maximum age limit is 22 years.
in JIPMER Medical Entrance Test minimum age is 17 years but no maximum age limit.
in PMT the minimum age is 17 years but maximum age limit is 25 years.

SO based on these you need to decide about your preparation!!

To get admission in MBBS course in AIIMS a candidate has to pass class 12th with atleast 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

For SC/ST candidates the minimum aggregate required is 50%.

Also a candidate should have attained the age of atleast 17 years by 31st December, 2011.

Age limit is varies for every examination.minimum is 17 years for all,but maximum differs from 25 to 30 for general,SC & ST are relaxable up to 5 years.

for your information, There is age limit before i,e he/she should be minimum 17yrs and maximum of 35 yrs.
but this age limit system is abolished and there is no more age limit in MBBS.

You should have passed 12th exam with at least 50% marks with Physics,Chemistry and Biology.

The age limit criteria for the AIPMT is that the age of the candidate must be between 17 to 25 years.
For the AIIMS the candidate must has completed 17 years and there is no upper age limit criteria.

Lower age limits of M.B.B.S, B.A.M.S, B.D.S. is 17 years.

But there is no upper limit of age as per knowledge....

You can apply for the entrance exam after you crossed the age 17. You can only be eligible for this test, if you have completed your 10+2 with Medical stream. About limitation of upper age you can apply upto the age of 31. Moreover there are some kind of relaxations also like SCs/STs, OBCs etc.

• DMAT
• MPPMT
• RPMT

>> some entrance exams also restrict max no. of attempts like in AIPMT total 3 attempts are applicable, after that you are not elligible.

There are many Medical entrance exam like:-
> A.I.I.M.S
> A.F.M.C
> A.I.P.M.T
> J.I.P.M.E.R
> B.H.U
etc

The age limit for all the medical exam is 17-25 year. For A.F.M.C is 17-21 year.
In 12th you have to score minimum 50% marks but if you want to apply then you have to score minimum 60% marks.
5% Marks relaxation will be given to ST/SC candidate.
