Pattern for AIPMT exam 2016:-

Subject - No of question - Marks

AIPMT Exam Pattern :

Three Sections namely ---

AIPMT Exam is Conventional Paper and Pen mode only. The duration of the exam is : 3 hrs .

AIPMT stands for the All India Pre Medical Test. Central Board of Secondary Education conducts this entrance exam for MBBS or BDS courses from government medical colleges.

To be eligible for this exam, a candidate must have done 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% marks.

Below I mentioned the pattern of this medical entrance exam,

The AIPMT entrance test will consist of one paper only comprising 180 objective type questions with four objectives on the subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The answer shall be marked on a separate specially designed sheet using ball point pen only. The duration of the entrance test would be 3 hours only. The candidates can choose the language of paper either English or Hindi. Each correct answer will carry the 4 marks while any wrong answer or multiple answers will be punished with 25% of the total question’s marks.

The examination is conducted in the month of the May every year and the examination paper contains the 720 marks questions in which there are total 180 questions.

AIPMT is the examination conducted by the CBSE every year for the admission of the candidates in the medical courses after the 10+2 in the different government medical institute.

The examination syllabus generally cover the questions of the Std 11th and 12th Biology, Chemistry and the Physics topics. There are 180 questions in three hours which is total marks of 720.

In these 180 questions there are 90 questions from the Biology and the remaining 90 from the physics and the chemistry. The qualifying marks for the examination is about the 450-500 for the general category candidates. There is also the negative marking on the for the wrong answer.

But wait for the examination notification as it is not released as for the 2016 examination likely to be released in the month of the December.

The examination pattern of the All India Pre Medical Test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education is as below:

Overall the test is of 720 marks and consists of 180 questions. In 2015, the general cut off marks was 454 out of 720 marks. You can appear for this exam if you are interested to do MBBS from top reputed government medical colleges of India. You must have studied 10+2 from a recognized stream with PCB and has scored 50% overall.

Other than this you can also, appear for the AIIMS entrance exam for MBBS course.

# AIPMT stands for All India Pre Medical Test.

# Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) every year in order to make admission for MBBS and BDS courses under 15% All India Quota in Government Medical Colleges and Government Dental Colleges except the States Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

# Mandatory eligibility conditions for AIPMT are:

* Must be above the age of 17 years as on 31st December of that concerned year.
* Must be below the age of 25 years as on 31st December of that concerned year.
* There is provision of relaxation in upper age for all reserved categories.
* Must have studied the science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects in 10+2 level.
* Candidate belonging to General category must have obtained minimum 50% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination.
* Candidate belonging to any reserved category must have obtained minimum 40% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination.

# The scheme and pattern of AIPMT are:

* There are four sections of written objective type test which are:

Physics
Chemistry
Botany
Zoology

* Each section of written test consists of 45 questions and total 180 marks.
* Total marks fixed for written examination is 720 marks.
* Duration of examination is 3 hours.
* Each correct answer or response gives you Four marks.
* Due to provision of negative marking, every incorrect or wrong answer will cause deduction of one marks out of total marks obtained.

All India Pre Medical Exam Pattern:

This is an objective test consisting of questions from:

1. Chemistry: 45 questions.

2. Physics: 45 questions.

3. Biology which includes Zoology and Botany: 90 questions.

Each questions carries 4 marks and so overall test is of 180 marks.
