Candidates who have completed 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects with an aggregate of 50% marks from a recognised board are eligible to appear in AIPMT examination. The minimum age should be 17 years at the time of admission and the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December, of the year of examinatio. Upper age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per the government rules. So, if you can satisfy the above mentioned eligibility criteria, then you can definitely appear in AIPMT 2016 examination as there is no restriction on the number of attempts to appear in AIPMT examination.

Re: Candidate who has qualified 12th in 2012 can appear in AIPMT 2016?
Lets go through the eligibility criteria of AIPMT and then we'll conclude that whether you are eligible to give the exam or not.
So, the eligibility criteria is- 1) You should have attained minimum age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age before 31st December of the year in which you are planning to appear for the exam. 2) The upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of examination. So, as you can see, there is no where written that a gap cannot be there. if you lie within the age criteria you can surely give the exam. But there is also one more important thing to notice. the number of attempts for the AIPMT exam is 3. So if you have attempted all the 3 attempts then unfortunately you are not eligible for the exam. |
