i want to know that i have done b tech. in electronics and communication . Am i eligible for AFCAT aeronotical engineering (electronics) because the subjects are same .

AFCAT examination is conducted by IAF .This exam is conduct for 3 wings -

• Flying Officer
• Ground duty
• Technical staff

1.Flying branch :-

If you have completed graduation degree from recognized university then you are applicable for this branch exam but your 12th subject must be maths and physics.

Your age should be in between 19-23 years.

2.Technical branch:-

If you have completed BE or B-Tech degree then you are applicable for Technical Branch.

Your should be in between 18-28 years.

3.Ground duty branch:-

Those candidate have completed graduation degree from recognized university are applicable for this jobs .

Your should be in between 20-27 years.

But you are Interested in Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) so first complete below given criteria first .

Your B-Tech degree must be above 60%

OR

Cleared Section A & B examination of Associate membership of Institute of Engineers by actual studies.

You must studied any eight subjects from the 18 subjects listed below.

1. Physics/ Engg physics
2. Mathematics/ Engg Mathematics,
3. Engg Graphics/ Engg Drawing,
4. Automotive Engg/ Plant Engg/ Industrial Engg,
5. Engg mechanics/ Strengt of material,
6. Aerodynamics,
7. Thermodynamics and applications/ Heat Power Engg,
8. Heat and mass transfer,
9. Theory of machines (Kinematics and Dynamics of Machinery),
10. Fluid Mechanics/ Turbo Machines,
11. Flight mechanics,
12. Machine Drawing/ Machine Design,
13. Mechatronics,
14. Material Science/ metallurgy,
15. Vibrations,
16. Workshop Technology/ Manufaturing Technology/ Production Engg,
17. Hydraulics and Pnematics,
18. Aircraft structures.

So if you have completed 8 subject from above then you are applicable for AFCAT exam otherwise not .
