The United States Medical Licensing Examination or USMLE examination to be eligible, the candidate must be in one of the following categories at the time you apply :

1. A medical student officially enrolled in or graduate of , a US or Candidan medical school programme leading to the MD degree that is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME)

2. A medical student officially enrolled in or graduate of a US medical leading to the DO degree that is accredited by the American Osteophatic Association (AOA)

3. A medical student officially enrolled in or graduate of a medical school outside the United States and Canada who meets the eligibility criteria of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.

USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) is conducted for the candidates who have completed their graduation from any medical schools outside US & Canada.

You need to completeyour MBBS from recognized university your eligible for attending USMLE Exam.

There are 3 stages of the examination. Step 1 is a multiple choice question paper. Step 2 involves CS & CK. For attending step 2 exam you need to clear step 1 exam. After clearing this exam you need to apply for step 3 exam and clear that round.
