i have scored 81% in 10th and 68% in 12th and 76% in engineering .am i eligible for direct pi test of tcs with out giving written test for the offcampus for the year 2011 as tcs declared this year they will allow the students for direct pi those who have a 70% career

The normal process of intake in TCS is first the candidates need to appear for the written test. Only those who score well in the test are called for personal interview. You will need to appear for this test. These are simple tests which test you in whether you will be able to perform the various tasks assigned to you. Since you have a good score in engineering you certainly can clear the test. Try solving previous year papers.

It is true that TCS is recruiting candidates through direct Personal Interview, having 70% marks through out in their career.

But,I think this happens only in the case of on campus recruitment process. Even the process also is applied for the toppers of each department of the institute,i.e they had direct PI test.

In the off campus drives,it is not happened that the candidates having 70% through out don't have to give written test.

So prepare yourself with the aptitude and reasoning questions also as these are the basics of the written test.

Their had been on campus recruitment where TCS sort listed candidates on basis of 70% mark for direct PI but it depends upon the accredited quality of the college that is either A,B or C.For class A and B accredated college 70% above students are called directly for PI

sorry to say dear it is not possible.

the steps of TCS placement is

1)aptitude test
2)technical
3)hr interview.

if you have cleared first round then you are eligible for 2 nd round.

so if you want to go PI then you must have cleared 1st two round.

Dear Candidate,
If you have passed with 75% or 8.00 CPI above, you are eligible for direct Personal Interview in TCS. For PI you have a basic knowledge about C, C++ programming, nothing more.

It totally depend on the TCS whether it allow for direct PI test or not.
sometime it allows five branch toppers for direct PI but this is not necessary so be prepare for it.
