Dear Sir, I have completed my Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Now I am doing AMIE. After this I want to write IAS. But I am confused whether AMIE qualification is allowed for IAS or not? If allowed then what is the minimum percentage we must obtain in AMIE?

Yes, AMIE qualified candidates are considered eligible for appearing in Civil Services Exam.

There is no such minimum percentage requirement to be eligible for UPSC's Civil Services Exam (or IAS exam).

You just have to complete AMIE course successfully to be eligible for IAS exam.

Even if you are in final year of AMIE, then also you can apply for IAS exam.

AMIE stands for Associate Members of the Institution of Engineers.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services.

Yes, AMIE qualification is accepted for applying IAS examination.

The educational qualifications required for the IAS examination mentioned below:-

1. Candidates must have completed their bachelor degree in any discipline from any recognised college or, university.

2. Final year candidates are also eligible for this examination.

3. Age limit:- 21-30 years.

4. Age Relaxation:- 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

5. Nationality:- Indian.
