Re: What is GPA and how is it calculated? Please calculate my GPA
to calculate CGPA multiply first two years marks with 1 and last two year marks with 1.5 after that add the all this then divide the total with 5. this will give you the CGPA.
CGPA=(1st year marks*1+2nd year marks*1+3rd year mark*1.5+4th year mark*1.5)/5 if all the marks are in percentage then divide it by 10 to go fo out of ten marks. GPA is the yearly marks obtain if it is in percentage then also divide it by 10 to get the out of ten marks. thanks |

Re: What is GPA and how is it calculated? Please calculate my GPA
Dear,
Your grade point average (GPA) is calculated by dividing the total amount of grade points earned by the total amount of credit hours attempted. Your grade point average may range from 0.0 to a 4.0. For example: A=4 grade points B=3 grade points C=2 grade points D=1 grade point WF/F=0 grade points P/NP (Pass/No Pass) courses are not factored in the student's GPA I (Incompletes) and W (Withdrawals) do not receive grade points and do not have an effect on the GPA. Thanks. |

Re: What is GPA and how is it calculated? Please calculate my GPA
Dear Friend,
GPA means Grade Point Average which is used to calculate CGPA(Cumulative Grade Point Average). Calculating procedure GPA: 1. Product the Credits with Grade point (credit x grade point) one by one and keep the result 2. Sum all the (credit x grade point) results 3. Sum all the Credits 4. Divide Sum of all the (credit x grade point) results with sum all the Credits Now GPA is ready. |

Re: What is GPA and how is it calculated? Please calculate my GPA
You will have credits for all the subjects. If you cleared you will earn all credit. You will get points based on exam marks.
GPA = ((P1*C1)+(P2*C2)+(P3*C3)+.....+(Pi*Ci))/(c1+c2+c3+...ci) P1,p2,p3,... Points earned c1,c2,c3,.... Credits earned i - total number of subjects. |

Re: What is GPA and how is it calculated? Please calculate my GPA
Hi friends this Mr.V.hariprasad from hyderabad in India.
There is no actual and exact universal Percentage to GPA conversion chart, but below is the chart used by most of the American, British, Australia, and Canadian universities. Percentage to GPA Conversion Table: Below 30 percent, the GPA is 0 31 percent = 0.1 GPA 32 percent = 0.2 GPA 33 percent = 0.3 GPA 34 percent = 0.4 GPA 35 percent = 0.5 GPA 36 percent = 0.6 GPA 37 percent = 0.7 GPA 38 percent = 0.8 GPA 39 percent = 0.9 GPA 40 percent = 1.0 GPA 41 percent = 1.1 GPA 42 percent = 1.2 GPA 43 percent = 1.3 GPA 44 percent = 1.4 GPA 45 percent = 1.5 GPA 46 percent = 1.6 GPA 47 percent = 1.7 GPA 48 percent = 1.8 GPA 49 percent = 1.9 GPA 50 percent = 2.0 GPA 51 percent = 2.1 GPA 52 percent = 2.2 GPA 53 percent = 2.3 GPA 54 percent = 2.4 GPA 55 percent = 2.5 GPA 56 percent = 2.6 GPA 57 percent = 2.7 GPA 58 percent = 2.8 GPA 59 percent = 2.9 GPA 60 percent = 3.0 GPA 61 percent = 3.1 GPA 62 percent = 3.2 GPA 63 percent = 3.3 GPA 64 percent = 3.4 GPA 65 percent = 3.5 GPA 66 percent = 3.5 GPA 67 percent = 3.5 GPA 68 percent = 3.5 GPA 69 percent = 3.5 GPA 70 percent = 3.5 GPA 71 percent = 3.6 GPA 72 percent = 3.6 GPA 73 percent = 3.6 GPA 74 percent = 3.6 GPA 75 percent = 3.6 GPA 76 percent = 3.7 GPA 77 percent = 3.7 GPA 78 percent = 3.7 GPA 79 percent = 3.7 GPA 80 percent = 3.8 GPA 81 percent = 3.8 GPA 82 percent = 3.8 GPA 83 percent = 3.9 GPA 84 percent = 3.9 GPA 85 percent = 4.0 GPA 86 percent = 4.0 GPA 87 percent = 4.0 GPA 88 percent = 4.0 GPA 89 percent = 4.0 GPA 90 percent = 4.0 GPA 91 percent = 4.0 GPA 92 percent = 4.0 GPA 93 percent = 4.0 GPA 94 percent = 4.0 GPA 95 percent = 4.0 GPA 96 percent = 4.0 GPA 97 percent = 4.0 GPA 98 percent = 4.0 GPA 99 percent = 4.0 GPA 100 percent = 4.0 GPA Although it is used as the most appropriate percentage to GPA conversion table by most universities, top universities in USA, UK, Australia, and Canada have their own unique algorithm to determine actual GPAs of the students. Such algorithms, used to calculate the GPAs of students from different countries, are made after in-depth research of that specific country's academic standard, academic syllabus, highest scores obtained, etc. It is therefore advised not to convert your percentage to Grade Point Average (GPA) on your own; instead, ask the institution you%u2019re applying to about how much your percentage converts to in their GPA system. Re: What is GPA and how is it calculated? Please calculate my GPA
GPA is grade point average:
Generally when we talk about GPA it means CGPA (cumulative grade point average). There is one more term SGPA (Semester Grade point average):GPA for a particular semester say you are doing B.Tech and there are 8 semester: Semester 1 courses Credits Grade Data structure 4 A(10) algorithm 3 B (8) SGPA : (10* 4 + 8*3)/(4+3) =9.14 (for semester 1) Similarly for semester 2, semester 3semester4..........sem 8 CGPA= {9.14*7[total no. of credits] +[sem2 sgpa] * [nos. of credit].........}/{sum of total number of credit for all the 8 semester}. I hope this explanation will work |

Re: What is GPA and how is it calculated? Please calculate my GPA
Your GPA or grade point average is important to admissions committees, not
because it signifies your intelligence, but instead because it is a long-term indicator how well you perform your job as student. To get the example student's GPA, the total grade points are divided by the total credit hours attempted. You can total your current semester courses and credits with our online GPA Calculator (above). To calculate your cumulative G.P.A., total the credit hours and then the grade points from all semesters. Divide the total grade points by the total credit hours. If you want to raise your GPA, an additional calculator helps you determine how many credit hours and what grade average you will need to raise your current GPA. |

Re: What is GPA and how is it calculated? Please calculate my GPA
PA signifies regular point normal. It's the typical of most grades received. If somebody becomes straight A's their regular level average is 4.00, that is commonly the very best.
Colleges have an Online GPA calculator. There is an off ice named Student Advisement, and also the denizens there may help.(Quality Points)*(credits earned)/(Credits attempted) is the usual formula. |
