Is B.Ed compulsory for Government Teacher jobs in Primary or High Schools?
Hi, I’m a M.Pharmacy qualified candidate. I want apply for a government teacher job for primary school level. Is B.Ed course necessary for applying government teacher job in primary school and what about high school level?

It is not mandatory to have B.Ed qualification. Candidates having other qualification as D.Ed/D.El.Ed as educational qualification are eligible to appear in the entrance examination for recruitment as teacher
So, if you possess the required educational qualification than you are eligible to appear in the examination for recruitment as teacher. |

Bachelor's degree or diploma in education has become mandatory for candidates who want to teacher in government schools at primary or secondary or higher secondary level. So, yes, B.Ed is compulsory.
B.Ed qualification is necessary for Teaching Eligibility Tests like CTET, STET etc. You can either pursue D.Ed or B.Ed for becoming eligible for these exams. Since you are post graduate, if you have minimum of 50% marks in bachelor's degree, you can apply for B.Ed course. |
