The eligibility criteria for FCI[Food Corporation of India] exam is DEGREE only & doesnt matter which degree you are holding.You can get the application form for FCI by downloading it from their official website or by postal,from nearby BSNL office etc. Go for it ,apply & then get ready for your exam.Prepare well.ALL THE BEST. FCI stands for Food Corporation of India and this exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Committee for the recruitment of Assistant Grade – III. The educational qualification for different post is different. For AG-III (General) you need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. You should know how to operate a computer. For AG-III (Accounts) you need to have a bachelor's degree in commerce from a recognized university. For AG-III (Technical) a degree in agriculture is required. You can have a B.Sc degree in any one of the following subjects: Botany/Zoology/Bio-Technology/Bio-Chemistry/Microbiology/Food Science. Or you can also have a B.Tech/B.E. in Food Science/Food Science and Technology/Agricultural Engineering/Bio-Technology from an institution recognized by AICTE. For AG-III (Depot) you just need to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline of your choice. Age Criteria:- For general category candidates the upper age limit is 27 years. There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates. It is 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for physically handicapped candidates. Examination Pattern:- ~For General, Depot and Accounts Cadres: Paper I & Paper II. ~For Technical Cadre: Paper I & Paper III. Paper I Exam Pattern:- General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. Paper II Exam Pattern:- Quantitative Methods and English Language & Comprehension. FCI is "Food Corporation Of India" and it is one of the largest food corporation of india or probably of the whole asia. Generally,FCI works to : --provide farmers remunerative prices --make food grains available at reasonable prices, particularly to vulnerable section of the society --maintain buffer stocks as measure of Food Security --intervene in market for price stabilization To appear for FCI exam,you must have to satisfy certain eligibility criteria's as follows : --educational qualification --age limit etc. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ; --educational qualification : you must either have passed : >>B.Sc. with any of the following subjects from a recognized University . Botany Zoology Bio-Technology Bio-Chemistry Microbiology Food Science Agriculture Or >>B.Tech./BE in Food Science Food Science & Technology Agricultural Engineering Bio-Technology from a recognized and well reputted University. --Age limit : your age must be above 25 years to apply for FCI exam. good luck !! |

FCI is Food Corporation of India and SSC conducts examination for Assistant Grade every year for General ,Depot, Accounts and Technical cadre assistant in FCI.
For General and Depot- Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University is required. For Accounts Cadre - Graduation in Commerce is required. For Technical Cadre- B.Sc. in Agriculture from a recognized University Or B.Sc. with any of the following subjects from a recognized University Botany/Zoology/Bio-Technology/Bio-Chemistry/Microbiology/Food Science Or B.Tech./BE in Food Science/Food Science & Technology/Agricultural Engineering/Bio-Technology from a recognized University/an institution approved by AICTE. Computer Proficiency is also required otherwise you will be rejected during skill test. As you are from Biotechnology field Graduate means you are definitely eligible for the SSC FCI technical cadre along with General and Depot. Your age should be between 18 to 27 years if you are General Category and there is age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC and PWD category.
