Is BA degree through distance learning not considered valid for government jobs?
I passed B.A. degree through distance mode from Andhra University . I appeared for staff selection grade 'D' stenographers test and qualified for skill test. When I go for skill test they checked my certificates and rejected for skill test on the plea that I didn't possess 10+2 (I passed degree in non-formal education proceedure). What should I do with my degree. Is the degree I possess not valid for any government job.pls reply me

Quote:
As far as the recognition of Bachelors degree through distance mode is concerned, it is accepted for employment in Government sector as well as private sectors, if it is recognized by the Distance Education Council-DEC. Andhra University is recognized by all the required regulatory bodies hence, the degree gained from it will fetch equal valuation as any other regular programs. Now, the mode of education in which a candidate goes for bachelors degree program without qualifying +2 level of exam like the BPP program offered by IGNOU,, should only be considered by those in service. Such candidate will be able to get the promotion and other facilities a graduate is supposed to get. But those who do not have any kind of work experience and seeking a job will definitely have a hard time out the market and most of the public and private sector companies are less likely to consider them. |
