BA in Hindi Literature student can prepare for IPS exam or not?


Hello sir, i am a student of the BA final year in hindi literature. So tell me that how should i prepare for IPS? I want to known also about exam details.

Yes, BA final year in Hindi literature candidates are eligible for IPS exam.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service.

Those candidates who have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

Your age should be in between 21 years to 32 years for general candidates. Age relaxation is given below -

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates
3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates
10 years relaxation for PHC candidates
5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman

Number of Attempts:-

For open category:- 5 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 9 attempts
For ST/SC category:- Unlimited

IPS stands for Indian Police Service Which exam is conducted through UPSC every year , The candidates have to appear civil service exam .

The eligibility criteria for this exam :

*The candidates should be a citizen Of India.
*The Candidates should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognize university.
The final year students can also apply for this exams.
*The age limit is 21 - 30 years.
There is a age relaxation for SC/ST & OBC candidates.

The physical details require for IPS Officers :

Height :–

Male 165 cm & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm

Female 150 cm & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm


Chest :–

Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.

Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.


Eye sight :–

6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye.

6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.

yes, Any Graduate can eligible for IPS which stands for Indian police service.


Eligibility for IPS:-
Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Candidates must have a degree from recognized university in any discipline.the candidates who are writing their final degree exam can also apply.

Candidates must be at least 21 years.

Height: A minimum height of 165 cm for men and 150 cm for women.

Actually for IAS exam it is compulsory to have Bechelor degree in any stream.As B.A in hindi literature is a graduate level degree ,so one can apply for it if having B.A in hindi.

Civil Services examination is conducted by UPSC and the examination is conducted by UPSC for recruitment of candidates as Officer.

The examination is conducted in three stages and to qualify in all these three stages you have to work hard with great determination and dedication.

So, you need to make a proper strategy for preparation of examination and try to go through the syllabus. Try to have better information of current Affairs, English etc..

Yes, any graduate can prepare for Civil Services exam. So, you being a Hindi Literature student can also prepare for IPS exam.

Eligibility criteria:

1. Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

2. Minimum age limit: 21 years.

Nice to see your interest in the field of the Civil Services Examination. As we know that the IAS, IPS is come under civil services.

The civil services examination is conducted by the UPSC once in every year. If you are interested in the Civil services then you need the following eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria for the Civil Services examination. :
--> Pass graduation is any stream from a recognize University. Final year graduation candidates can also appear in the IPS examination.
--> The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of examination. The upper age relaxation is also applicable for the reservation category candiadtes.

These are the basic eligibility criteria for the Civil Services examination. If you satisfy the above eligibility criteria then you are eligible to apply for the Civil Services exam.

There are no limit percentage required in graduation. Only pass the graduation degree is enough to appear in the Civil Services entrance examination.
