For becoming lecturer in Indian government colleges under different universities, you must crack National Eligibility Test.

Eligibility criteria for NET exam:

1. Master's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates of post graduation course can also apply. You must have 55% marks in master's degree.

2. No age limit for Lectureship. Upper age limit for JRF is 28 years.

You can apply for NET exam after master's degree in Hindi Literature. NET is conducted in June and December every year.

You are pursuing candidate in M.A in Hindi Literature subject from IGNOU so you are eligible for UGC NET exam in Hindi subject.

Educational qualification required for NET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for NET exam.

There is no age criteria for NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years.
