Re: BCA is possible with just 42% in science subjects?
You need not to worry about your admission in BCA after passing your 12th standard with science stream because your overall percentage will be taken in account while providing you with admission in whatever college you want but generally 55% is very less percentage so you have to apply in some private college.
I would like to suggest you to apply for admission in government college but 80% chances are there that you will definitely get admission in private college. Otherwise there is a chance for you to get admission in government college if you qualify the BCA all India entrance exam with good marks. |

Re: BCA is possible with just 42% in science subjects?
Eligibility for BCA:
1. Aspirants must have passed 12th with a science stream having mathematics is compulsory subject from a recognised board with minimum 55% marks and relaxation is given to reserved students. 2. There are two ways in which you can get admission the first way is that you have to appear in the all India BCA entrance exam and on the basis of your score in the entrance exam you will be provided the particular college according to cut off. And the second way is that you can directly go to the private college to take admission because your present it is very very less so you are not going to get admission directly in government college. |

Yes, you can get admission into BCA i.e. Bachelor of Computer Application even if you have overall 55%.
For admission to BCA, overall percentage is considered and not the PCM or Science percentage. Some of the BCA institutes even admit candidates on the basis of entrance exam that they conduct themselves. |

Re: BCA is possible with just 42% in science subjects?
Hi,
As you said that your overall percentage is 55% and your science percentage is 42.So your concern is whether you can study BCA or not. ==>According to me you can easily get chance to study BCA.Because in order to apply for it,most of the universities or colleges doesn't require you to have total percentage of 60 % in PCM(Physics,Chemistry,Maths) which is required if you want to study B.Tech. ==>To study BCA you should have passed in these subjects-Maths ,English and Computer Science. ==>But it would have been rather good if your overall percentage is at least 60 %. Because most of the reputed IT companies require a candidate to have all through 60 % in your whole career. ie., at least 60 % in your 10,10+2 and BCA. |
