Hi,

There are innumerable books for studying Quantitative Aptitude in order to prepare for general competitive exams. But some that are best to study are -->

  • Quantitative aptitude by R.S Agarwal

==>The book covers almost all concepts related to quantitative aptitude in detail.

==>The quantity of questions in this book is quite high, but there are too many questions of similar kind, it feels like same questions are repeated with different numerical values.

==>It also lacks shortcut methods of solving questions. This is a good book if you are beginning with aptitude.

  • Quantitative Aptitude For Competitive Examinations by Abhijit Guha

==>This is a good book for building concepts of quantitative aptitude. It is useful both for beginners and also for those who want to brush up their skills in gaining speed and accuracy.

==>The theory is provided in more detail comparing to other books. The new edition of this book contains 22 original test papers of various exams.

  • Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning, Second Edition by Praveen published by PHI Learning Pvt. Ltd.

==>This book is organized in two parts—Quantitative Aptitude (Part I) and Reasoning (Part II)

==>It helps to apply basic mathematical and reasoning concepts to a range of quantitative and reasoning problems.

As far as my best knowledge is concerned "Quantitative Aptitude by R.S.Agarwal" is the best book for almost all the SSC CGL, Banking, UPSC, SBI Clerk recruitment examinations.

Besides this book, there are some other best books available to appear in these recruitment's.

<> Quantitative Aptitude for Competitive Examinations by R.S.Agarwal - Recommended

<> How to prepare for Quantitative Aptitude for CAT by Arun Sharma (Tata McGraw Hill publications)

<> Quantum CAT by Sarvesh Verma by Arihant -- Good book
