For Railways u may go for ESE(Previously IES).With this u may get job at following
(i) Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers
(ii) Indian Railway Stores Service
(iii) Indian Inspection Service
(iv) Indian Naval Armament Service
(v) Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS)
(vi) Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, a branch in the Indian Army
(vii) Wireless Planning and Co-ordination Wing
(viii) Indian Navy
(ix) Indian Supply Service
(x) Indian Telecommunication Service
(xi) Junior Telecom Officer (Group B)

Educational qualifications
At least a bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E. / B. Tech) from a recognised university or equivalent. M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain services / posts only.

Age limits
21-30 years on 1 August of the year of Engineering Services Examination

Hi all,

Iam Mohan Raj. I did my ECE and I got job in an IT company with JAVA domain. As am fresher at that time, I didnt have anyone to tell me what is right or wrong. So As job is needed, i joined right away. But after coming here I came to know that job satisfaction will play an imp role through out your life. Even if u get 40,000 of salary . You should have work satisfaction to do it for 9to10 hours perday. I did well for my first two years where i was in production support. But after 2yrs I joined in one develpment project where it is full and full coding. THen i was taught a lesson that am unfit for coding. Because my mind is not allowng me to learn coding. Because I cannot. But Now Am already lateral, not a fresher anymore. but if i want to start my life freshly , what i can do for starting my life freshly with satisfied work. i donno what to do at this point. if i quit this job , will i get any chances of going any other fields? I donno which field will give me happines. I think the problem is with me only, because i took wrong step at the time of deciding for job itself. I wrongly chosed IT field. So please freshers go in ur education wide itself. if u r IT , GO TO IT , else if u r nonIT go to ur core jobs itself. dont do stunts with your life. Still am searching help for my life. i donno who wil answer my question. Bt pls care full with your life. Dont take decisions when u r in tensed or demanded situation. even if the situatoion demands u to get job. dont go as it is. just take some time to think abt what u r doing.? ok ? i think some people wil get jobs for parents/love/financial problem. but even if it is mandatory to get job imediately. pls carefull in taking decisions. because even if u earn lakhs of salary. daily u shld sleep well and should feel hapy that u r doing the job which u can like it daily ok?
