Which are the core companies in the field of Electrical and Electronics? How to apply for them?
hello,I am Sameeksha.Anand, a 3rd year student from electrical and electronics, I wish to do summer internship in a core company preferably in my field. I want guidance as to when and how to apply for it.

I am happy you are looking for core companies instead of taking the software root. Even if you are compelled because of this recession in the IT industry, I would advise you to stick to the core industries in the long run.
Anyway, coming to your question, let us first categorise the electrical equipment companies. There are electrical equipment companies that manufacture motors and generators and even transmission equipments: ABB Ltd Bharat Heavy Electricals ltd Crompton Greaves GMR Infrastructure GVK Power & Infrastructure ltd Lanco Infratech Ltd. NTPC Neyveli Lignite corporation Power Grid Corporation Reliance Infrastructure Reliance Power Limited Siemens Ltd. Suzlon Energy Ltd. Tata Power Co. Torrent Power Ltd. There are companies like Lucas-TVS Click on the following link and find out for yourself. You will be spoilt for choice. I searched " electrical equipment companies India" in google. There are eightytwo companies in this list. http://www.findouter.com/Asia/India/Busi… Likewise , electronics industry can be divided into segments like automobile (Bosch, Tyco, Delphi, Pricol) , consumer (Sony, phillips, akai, nokia, ericson, LG etc) , embedded (do a google search for this ) , industrial , industrial automation, industrial controls (siemens etc) , medical electronics, avionics (aviation electronics), power electronics, domestic, domestic lighting (LED lighting companies like Lucifer and MIC electronics) . communication and so on . The list is endless. Do a google search for each and every sub-industry.

you can apply for bhel,hal,ongc,ntpc like companies.you will have to make communication to the officers of that company .or your college can help you for that

List of the core companies for electrical and electronics stream:- Research centers like:- 1.ISRO 2.DRDO 3.BARC PSU's like- 1.BEL 2.ECIL 3.BHEL 4.GAIL 5.NTPC 6.ONGC 7.SAIL etc.. You can get the notification about any of these sector from employment news paper.. So, read employment newspaper. Or, you can visit job providing websites to get information about theses PSU's.. Websites like- www.freshersworld.com www.monster.com www.timesjob.com etc.... So, go for it... All the best.

The ECE branch is evergreen department and this branch have plenty of opportunities in private and govt sectors.The core companies for ECE are BSNL,ISRO,DRDO,Railway,Bank jobs,Air force,Cadems etc.The ECE graduates are eligible for private software jobs also.

For ECE (Electronics communication engineering ) various core job are present along with Good government jobs...
Normally most companies consider aggregrate minimum percentage as 60% only... A list of few top core companies is listed below :- ISRO BHEL NTPC DRDO BSNL ECIL BEL Texas instrumentation MTNL Other core related private companies :- Realience Idea Vodafone Intel Samsung Electronics Sony Philips Semiconductors Texas Instruments LG Electronics Nokia CISCO HP and etc.. even UPSC/good software companies too offer good career opportunity..
