Hi, I am a 2nd year student i want to pass the JAM 2016 entrance with rank within first 100, my stream is biological sciences. Which are the best self study books i should refer to crack this exam. I do not want to go for any coaching classes.

# Few useful tips for candidates who are preparing for IIT-JAM:

* As IIT-JAM is conducted though online mode. So it is required that candidate should be proficient in computer applications
* Solve out more and more old and mock tests as possible.
* Refer standard books of university authors while preparing for the examination.
* Make a short pocket notes and keep them in your pocket. Whenever you get leisure time you should revise them.
* Candidate should not study any new chapter/topic just before the examination. As it may create confusion, panic and fear.
* Candidate should focus more on topics/chapters which have more weightage.

To apply for JAM , You must have passed with 55% in qualified degree. It is not compulsory to join coaching to crack JAM. You can also crack JAM yourself with well preparation & practice.
