Is it better to repeat the class 9th or to quit and write 10th exams from Open Board?

Hi, I am studying in a school affiliated to ICSE Board and I failed in my 9th final exams. So, what all options do I have left with me now? Should I repeat my 9th class or can I quit this school and write the 10th Board exams directly from any open board like NIOS or any other such Board?

It completely depends on your, if you feel that you can handle the pressure and syllabus of class 10 and you have all the concepts of your class 9 clear than you can directly go for class 10
If you work hard you can clear your class 10 , so if you do not want to waste a year you can directly take admission in class 10
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
