GATE stands for the Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering.This entrance exam is conducted by the IIT+IISC once every year.

The eligibility criteria for the exam is :

>>You must be a bachelor's degree holder in engineering or technology .If you are in final year of bachelor's degree then also your are eligible for the exam.

>>There is no limits on number of attempts and also no upper age limit defined for the exam.

From the year 2014 ,it will be conducted online for the 21 streams.
