I am a student of BTech. in CS department. I m in 4th year. Can an appearing candidate fill up the bank PO form?kindly answer me.

It is depend on bank exam eligibilty rules bcoz some Banks are required Graduation & some are only 12th pass.
so you are applicable for those bank which have required 12th class.In those banks which are required graduation you are notapplicable for it.

As per my knowledge, appearing students are not eligible for appearing in bank PO exam.
Minimum eligibility is:
1.50% aggregate in Higher Secondary.
2.Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university with 60% aggregate.

Hence you are not eligible now.
But after completing graduation, you can become eligible.

I think you are not eligible for the Bank PO exam as you are in final year of engineering that means you are not graduate till now. The eligibility for a bank PO exam will be graduation in any discipline of education and age limit should not more than 30. for backward caste there will be 5 year of relaxation.

eligible candidates are those who have a graduation degree

in any branch. Also the minimum percentage required is 60%

by most of the banks and first degree by some banks.

Also, you must have age between 21 to 30 years to be

eligible for the examination.

As you fulfill the criteria of educational qualification, if you

satisfy other criteria too, only then you can apply for the

ICICI bank PO examination.

Although the eligibility criteria for different banks tend to differ.
All the banks require you to be a graduate... with 60% marks in graduation.
stream of graduation is not important... generally the age criteria lies in the range 21 to 30 years.
But it is not fixed as ex. ICICI bank fixes maximum age at up to 25 years.
So although you can depend on our suggestion but these criterias may change without prior notice... so whenever you apply be sure to check on the current eligibility
and also the particular Bank.
Now just to summarize it you have 60% or above and and you are younger than 25 you can appear for all banks...upto 30 you can sit for most banks with a few exceptions.
like ICICI.Sure.
If you are in any category you will also get age relaxation.

Hello Nikku,

Yes, definitely you can fill up the form and take up the bank PO exam.
The minimum qualification for bank PO exam is one should be a degree holder.
Since you are in final year, by the time of joining, you will get your degree. But you need to clear all your paper and get your degree by the time of joining.
So prepare well.

yes, you can apply for Bank PO if you can get your final year results before the interview of bank po.

the criteria which is required for appling in the PO exam is given below

1.minimum graduation in qualification.

2.minimum 55% marks in graduation.

3.age limit 21-28.

As per the requirement only graduates can appear for the exam. But you are allowed to appear in the final year too provided you will complete the course at the time of joining. Also you need to be 21 years of age. For most of the banks it is a must that you score at least 55%. In some private banks a minimum of 60% marks are required. There are some relaxations for SC/ST candidates.

•Candidate must be citizen of India.
•Candidate should have completed their graduation with at least 60 % aggregate from the recognized University to be eligible for this course.
•Candidate must be computer literate to be eligible for this course.
•Candidate must be above 21 years of age and must not be more than 30 years of age.

You can apply after completing your graduation as per the eligibility criteria of Bank PO Exam.

yes, you can apply for Bank PO exam... the basic educational qualification for Bank PO exam is to have minimum of 60% in 12th grade so you have 72% there is no problem you can apply for the exam...

Yes you can apply but with the following conditions.....:

1) You have to show your degree of passing by the end of the time decided by the bank authorities.

2) You should have a minimum of 55% marks throughout your graduation (relaxation for SC/ST)

3) You should have a degree in computer from NIT's or other institutes.

4) Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years.

Yes You are eligible.

But in remember in mind before the joining, you must have your degree certificates.

If you couldn't able to produce your certificates before joining, all your efforts will waste.

Being you are a btech CS graduate, You can also try for Technical officer in bank

I think so you are not eligible now because according to the eligibility rules you must have completed graduation with minimum 60%.

Generally most of the banks have following eligibility criteria for the post of P. O.-
* A bachelor's degree in any field from a recognised university.
* Minimum 60% (sometimes 50%) marks in graduation.
So, after completing B. Tech. you will be eligible for bank PO exam.
Different banks have different age criteria. Also there may be some variation in eligibility criteria of different banks.

Maximum no of BANK PO exam want graduate person from any recognized university with above 55% marks .

This percentage for SC/ST candidate is 50%.

But in case of SBI PO this percentage is increased upto 60%.

The minimum age criteria is 21 years and maximum age criteria is 30 years.

yes , b-tech 4th year student are eligible for BANK PO exam.

you are eligible for giving all the bank po exam. most of the exams demand for graduation and some for 12th class. in both the cases, you are eligible. so start preparing for the exam. for a b.tech student, it is very difficult to crack an bank exam because the syllabus of the exam is entirely different from what he have studied in the college. so, it will need a great concentration, dedication and hard work to pass the exam

Its really nice to see that you are pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and are in the final year.

But unfortunately you cannot apply for any of the bank PO Exam as due to the latest amendments , Only those candidates are considered eligible for Bank PO Examination who holds a Bachelor`s Degree in any discipline from any recognized college/university.

The Bank PO Exam is conducted every year mainly by these two :

* State Bank OF India

* Institute Of Banking Personnel selection

Both have almost the same eligibility criteria except the age bar in which they clash with each other.

The Eligibility Criteria Required for Bank PO Exam are :

** The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university.

** There is no requirement of any percentage bar.

** The candidate should not have any pending backlog.

** The candidate must be an Indian.

** Both Male and Female Candidates can apply for the exam.

Number of attempts for Bank PO exam :

a) For General Candidates : 4

b) For OBC Candidates : 7

c) For SC/ST candidates : No Limits

The Age Limit for SBI PO Exam :

>> The candidate`s age must lie in between 21-30 years if belonging to General Category.

>> A Relaxation of 3 years and 5 years is given to OBC and SC/ST Candidates respectively.

The Age Limit for IBPS PO Exam :

>> The candidate`s age must lie in between 20-28 years if belonging to General Category.
