I am studying btech 3 rd year,with 76% till now,due to financial problems I can't join ace,can we get gate score through books.,if it is possible,which books should be preferred?

Yes, why not it is possible to score good marks in GATE examination. Here is some of the success tips for GATE exam:

>>Go through the reference books of each and every subject of your stream. As you have not mentioned your stream, I can not provide your the best reference books for your core subjects.

>>Focus on building strong clear cut concepts of different topics of each subject.

>>Practice is key to success. More you practice on numerical problems more is chance of getting good rank in GATE.

>>Make a proper schedule and work according to it. Once completion of any subject, take out previous year papers of GATE and solve it to assess your knowledge in that subject.

>>Never lose confidence as hard and smart work along with determination will fetch you whatever you desire.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test of Enginnering examination and the examination is conducted to take admission in various IIT and NIT for higher studies after graduation.The final year aspirants or graduation passed can apply for it.There in no limitation on number of attempts.

No doubt you can qualify the GATE examination without going through coaching classes as there is no coaching which will assure that you will qualify the examination without study .If you have determination and self confidence than you can definitely crack it.Mainly the question are related to your previous year and final year topics if you go throuh the text you can solve all the questions.There are some question of Reasoning and Aptitude also for this you can take the help of various books such as of R.S Aggarwal.

Since, you are in third year B.E, you can attend GATE coaching class for six months to get to know the exam pattern, syllabus and mock tests.

Off course you can score high marks in GATE through Books only.Actually very few candidates opt for GATE coaching as Gate can be covered through NOTES and Textbooks.
If your concepts are sound and clear,then you do not even need any Guide books and mere practice papers or sample papers would be more than enough.
