myself saumya nd i m also preparing 4 neet exam in my opinion instead of moving here nd there nd searching 4 lots of books for this exam will not help u. just focus on ur ncert books of class 11 nd 12. special focus to bio book... each word if u will read of ncert properly without wasting ur time surely u gonna pass this neet exam.....

NEET Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

The proposal to start the NEET exam was given by Ministry of Human Resource Development and Medical Council of India. It's full form is National-Eligibility-Cum-Entrance-Test. This exam needs to be given by students who are aiming to pursue undergraduate like MBBS or BDS and post graduate degree like MS or MD. Most of the top government and private medical colleges will accept the score of this exam.

There are about 271 medical colleges in India and till now there were about 25 top medical entrance exams which the medical aspirants had to give. Since NEET is now replacing them therefore the students no more needs to work extra and has now the chance of investing their full energy in this one exam.

It should be remembered that AIIMS or All India Institute of Medical Science cannot be entered by giving this exam. They are conducting their separate exam.

• To sit for this exam you need to pass higher secondary examination or its equivalent with not less than 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and biology taken together.
  
• For SC/ST/OBC students the percentage to secure is 40% of marks in PCM.
  
• You need to pass individually in physics, chemistry and biology.
  
• To sit for this exam your minimum age should be 17 years. There is an age relaxation of upto 5 years for the reserved category candidates.
  
• You will be allowed to give this exam for three times in a row.

The NEET exam is expected to take place in 5th May 2013. That's a tentative date. For this exam the main problem posing for the student is non-availability of last year papers.

CBSE though may publish some sample papers which will be available online. You can go through it to know more about the question pattern. Along with that i have also mentioned the name of few books which can come in handy.
