the date of neet exam is 5th may 2013 and u should have minimum 50% for gen
the ncert of 11th and 12th is the best book for preparation of neet and perhapsely percentile method is used in marking in neet |

$$ NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. This exam is conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and Medical Council of India. This exam can be given for both undergraduate and postgraduate course in medical. So for both MBBS and MS NEET exam can be given. This exam will give you the direct pass to enter the top government and private medical colleges. $$ NEET exam will be conducted by the National Board. AIIMS is by the way not a part of this NEET Exam. Prior to this exam there were a dozen of exams students were forced to give. There was lots of pressure on them as they were compelled to sit for more than one medical entrance exam to make their chances bright. But with this exam it will work like an umbrella under which lots of medical college can come in. $$ You need to have science in class 12 as your compulsory subjects. The minimum qualification required to sit for this exam is that you need to be a higher secondary passed out candidate and in addition to that you need to secure 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics taken together. SC/ST candidates needs to get 45% of marks in aggregate. $$ The minimum age limit for general category candidates is 17 years. For reserved category candidates there is a five year age relaxation. $$ Total number of questions will be 180. Questions will come from physics, chemistry, biology and zoology. From each section 45 questions will be asked. 3 hours will be there to complete the paper. Papers will be set in both Hindi and English. $$ This year the exam is supposed to take place in 5th May, 2013.
