Re: Which branch should I do in MBA after doing engineering in IT?
Pursuing MBA degree after completing engineering degree in IT is really good. This will definitely improve your career prospects. Being an IT graduate, you can select MBA in Operations or Systems. MBA degree also offers specializations in the field of HR, Finance, Marketing, and so on. You can select the course according to your interest. All these courses offer ample career opportunities both in India as well as abroad.

Figure out what you want from your career first. Most people I know from engineering and IT backgrounds who went for MBAs did so because they had advanced in their technical roles and wanted to switch to more managerial roles or they wanted to improve their business acumen. Most good B-schools ask for about 3 years of work experience. If you do decide that you want to pursue an MBA you might also want to look at schools that specialize in technology such as ESMT in Berlin. Many of their MBAs applied because they wanted to keep their passion for technology alive while learning new business operation skills.
